Funding the development of a cancer clinical trial at Central West Cancer Services
It’s BASH time again!
The PYBASH team is busy preparing to take off on the first of our two annual charity bash events – the CRUISIN’ ALONG BASH – to support the development of a cancer clinical trial at Central West Cancer Services based at Orange Hospital NSW. This will overcome the need for country patients to travel to and from Sydney each week for treatment.
The Bash will take off from Orange on 30th April, travelling through Dubbo, Moree, Roma, Blackall, Longreach, Quilpie, Cunnamulla, Lightning Ridge and Gilgandra, covering a total of 3,352km over a ten day period, and raising awareness and funds for Cancer Care Western NSW along the way.
Last year, the PYBASH team raised over $8,000 for the Cancer Care Western NSW Cruisin’ Along Bash. We would like to raise even more this year to support country cancer patients and their carers.
The second of our two annual bashes, the Variety NSW Bash, which raises funds for special needs children, will kick off in August, and will travel from Sydney to Bunbury WA. Look out for more information in the next newsletter.
