Civil division merges with A1 EarthworxNovember 26, 2012
PYBAR’s Civil division has merged with another regional company, A1 Earthworx from Mudgee, NSW. PYBAR Mining Services will continue its focus on mining, in particular underground mining operations, with the civil division now strategically placed to facilitate the same successful growth the mining division has achieved.
A long standing and successful local business, A1 Earthworx was established in 1980, beginning as Pat Pilley Earthmoving Services. The company rebranded in 2007 as A1 Earthworx and is now established as the premier provider of mining and civil earthwork services to the Mudgee region.
The merger will improve both companies’ ability to provide innovative and competitively priced solutions for clients, access to a larger range of machinery, proven systems and dedicated specialist staff with a focus on large scale civil and earthmoving projects and smaller surface mining projects.
Changes will also offer employees new opportunities, including options to work in different locations, access to a broader range of equipment and potential to develop new skills.
The combined business strengths of PYBAR and A1 Earthworx will facilitate business growth and offer new civil solutions, including increasing the scope and scale of operations with a staff of 60 employees and 110 major plant items.
“We are bringing together two companies with extensive knowledge and networks in the mining industry to form a greater company with improved capabilities and more opportunities for all stakeholders” say Brendan Rouse, PYBAR’s Business Development Director.
After the merger the company will trade under the name A1 Earthworx Mining & Civil, as will the new members of the united team from PYBAR’s Civil operations. Both teams will operate under the existing A1 Earthworx management team.
