PYBAR to provide underground mining services at Challenger gold mine

April 26, 2016
Mine Development, South Australia

PYBAR has signed a Letter of Intent with WPG Resources, the manager of the Challenger gold mine in South Australia, for the provision of underground mining services at the project.

The Challenger Joint Venture, a 50/50 partnership between WPG Resources and Diversified Minerals intends to re-start underground mining in late May 2016.

Works were temporarily suspended in March 2016 as the project transitioned ownership from previous owner Kingsgate Consolidated to the current JV.

PYBAR will shortly commence activities including securing plant and equipment, key personnel and mobilisation.

The Challenger deposit was first discovered in 1995 and began production via open-pit in 2002. In 2005, the mine converted to underground.
