Our CEO James Glover shares an update on PYBAR news since moving into his new role.

PYBAR is pleased to announce a return to Tasmania following the award of a three year contract at MMG Limited’s Rosebery Mine.

PYBAR has introduced an effective new resource to help set the agenda for safety awareness throughout the coming year – the Annual Safety Theme Calendar 2022/2023.

Our new Elphinstone Cat WR820 10m³ agitator has recently been commissioned on site at our Eloise Copper Mine project near Cloncurry, QLD.

Since arriving on site at the Eloise Copper Mine near Cloncurry in 2020, PYBAR has set the standard in safe and efficient delivery of underground mining services and will continue delivering as we embark on a new four year mining services contract.

In October 2021, PYBAR celebrated the mining of 10,000 metres since underground development started at the Dargues gold mine in NSW in 2018.

We are pleased to welcome three highly regarded industry professionals, James Glover, Andrew Grivas and John Sheehan, to PYBAR who will lead our operations management team.

In late 2021, PYBAR Mining Services was acquired by the ASX-listed Mastermyne to form the larger and more diverse Metarock Group (ASX:MYE). The transaction was met with broad approval by shareholders, clients and employees of both companies and the wider industry.

With a worsening shortage of mining engineers and declining enrolments in mining engineering degrees, the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM) Sydney ‘Student Meets Industry Night’ in April was an ideal opportunity to showcase the benefits of a career in the mining industry and engage with potential mining engineers and other mining industry professionals…

In June, PYBAR’s Eloise copper mine project achieved 414 development metres for the month, exceeding its previous best month of 363m and budget metres of 370; an outstanding achievement by the whole team on site.

In the 12 months since the introduction of PYBAR’s safety transformation program in June 2020, we have seen some pleasing safety outcomes, including significant milestones at our Hera and Black Rock projects.

The introduction of PYBAR’s new Sandvik DL432i longhole drill in October 2020 has led to month on month improvements in drilling productivity at the Black Rock project.
